Membership and its criteria
01. 4 years bachelor’s degree in dietetics, food and nutritional science, human nutrition from a recognized university accepted by the council.
Or
02. Any biological or chemical science degree with 2 years Masters degree or above in relevant field which is offered from a recognized university accepted by the council.
And
03. Followed at least 12 months of fulltime dietetic internship training in a clinical setting after graduation under a dietitian or a nutritionist whose qualifications are accepted by the council.
04. Three years of continuous service in the field of dietetics or clinical nutrition at clinical setting.
05. Willing to pay the annual membership fee
**FM has voting power and the council shall be appointed from the full members

Or
Any biological or chemical science degree with 2 years Masters degree or above in relevant field which is offered from a recognized university accepted by the council.
And
02. Willing to pay the annual membership fee.
****AM has no voting power and cannot be a nominee or an office bearer
**but when he/she fulfill the necessary requirements can become a full member
01. Should be following/ registered in a degree in dietetics or nutrition with adequate component in dietetics in a recognized university.
And
02. Willing to pay the annual membership fee.
** SM has no voting powers and cannot become a nominee or an office bearer.
01. Any government or non-government higher education institute which offer a degree in dietetics/ nutrition or related discipline which is recognized by the Association.
And
02. Willing to pay one time entry fee and thereafter annual institutional membership fee.
** entitled to send not more than 4 representatives to attend any meeting of the general body of the association.
** IM has no voting rights on any matters pertaining to or related to the association or its affairs and cannot become a nominee.
Corporate Member
01. Any commercial or non profit making organization which is involved or interested in the field of Dietetics and nutrition and promotes the aims and objectives of the Association.
And
02. Willing to pay one time entry fee and thereafter annual institutional membership fee.
** entitled to send not more than 2 representatives to attend any meeting of the general body of the association.
** CM has no voting rights on any matters pertaining to or related to the association or its affairs and cannot become a nominee.
